Terms & Conditions

Memberships constitute a legally binding contract that must be adhered to or you will be deemed as in breach of contract and legal action may be taken. If any clarification on Terms and Conditions is required please speak to one of the gym directors prior to signing. Fees are payable as shown in the contract regardless of attendance or non-attendance. No refunds will be given.

Contract Terms - All contracts are a minimum of 3 months and will then go onto a monthly recurring membership.  At least 30 days advance notice is required to cancel a membership in all circumstances.  If you are within you initial contract term the remainder of the contract must be paid or the 30 day notice period whichever is more.

Membership Payment Terms - Membership fees must be paid monthly by Direct Debit with the exception of paid in full memberships and one off/upfront fees.  All direct debits are collected via GoCardless on or around 1st of the month.  A copy of the direct debit guarantee is available on their website. The first months payment will be pro rated and is due at time of joining via card or cash to allow time for the direct debit to be set up with DHF. An email can be sent to you with details on how to set this up if account details aren't to hand. Cash payments cannot be used for recurring payments. Any change to a members payment details must be notified to DHF in writing and a new Direct Debit mandate set up at least 10 workings days prior to next payment date.  There may be occasions where we have to close all, or part of, the facility. We will do our best to let you know of such closures in advance of them taking place, unless the problem is urgent or an emergency. You will not be entitled to a refund of part of, or all of, your membership fees in such circumstances.  DHF reserves the right to close for inclement weather, repairs, holidays, other unexpected circumstances for up to 4 days consecutively without issuing member refunds.

Price Increases - We aim to remain competitively priced but from time to time we may need to increase the price of membership. We will give members at least 1 full months notice of any upcoming price increase and will make it very clear when the price increase will take effect and how much your membership will cost after the increase. During this period you will have your usual right to terminate your membership in accordance with the membership terms and conditions. If you do not terminate the membership by the date given to you in the notice then the price of your membership will be increased in accordance with our notice.

Defaults & Charges - Any member who misses a membership payment will be classified as being defaulted. This can include the following:

 - A member who cancels their Direct Debit directly with their bank without complying with the notice requirements set out in these Terms & Conditions
 - A member who has insufficient funds in their account resulting in a failed payment
 - A member who provides incorrect DD or card details or fails to advise of DD account or card changes

DHF will immediately suspend access and benefits or may cancel the membership of a defaulting member who doesnt comply with the notice requirements set out in these Terms & Conditions.  Any defaults on a member account will incur an admin fee of £5 on top of the outstanding payment.  The defaulting member will be notified and payment requested (via cash or credit card).  Any defaults that have not been resolved within 7 days will result in automatic ban from accessing the facility in future.

Membership Cancellation - Cancellation must be made in writing via email or messenger.  Once a member is out with their initial contract period, they have the right to cancel at any time as long as 30 days notice is provided.  Final payments will be calculated on a pro rata basis.  No refunds will be issued on cancellation of memberships.  Upon cancellation by a member with an annual membership the Company reserves the right to retain any proportion of the unexpired Annual Payment.  Where a member has outstanding sums due to the Company he/she will not be permitted to re-join until he/she has paid all such outstanding sums.  The management have the right to cancel any membership.

Entry System - DHF members, over the age of 18, will be given a membership fob at the discretion of DHF management.  In the event of loss or damage a £5 fee will be required for a replacement.  The membership fobs are used to access the gym without it being manned and all entry is monitored by the membership system.  The access hours are restricted to 5.30am to 10.30pm 7 days per week but are subject to change by DHF.  For health and safety reasons, it is strongly advised not to use the gym without someone else present. Common sense also applies with the type of exercises carried out in the case of being unsupervised.

The membership fob must:
 - be presented and swiped on each visit to the facility,
 - only be used by the person to whom it is issued (abuse will lead to forfeiture)
 - be returned to DHF on the date of cancellation of membership.

Guests - Members over 18 years of age may introduce guests to the facility.  Members are responsible for the actions and conduct of their guests at all times and must ensure that guests comply with the gym Terms & Conditions.  Use of the facilities by guests will be subject to the PAYG tariffs defined by DHF.  Members guests must ensure they have completed the DHF Registration form prior to use. Members must accompany their guests and remain in the facility during the whole of the guests visit.

Member Benefits - Membership benefits are subject to change.  DHF Class and Combined Memberships currently entitle unlimited access to all DHF run classes.  Any classes not run by DHF aren't included but members may receive a discounted rate at the instructors discretion. Classes are subject to change so please check latest timetable on our website.
